About the Author
Stephen Arroyo (born October 6, 1946 in Kansas City, Missouri) is an American author and astrologer. Arroyo has written seven books on psychologically oriented astrology which outline his theory that the individual's experience of the Solar System's impacts on their personal energy field, both psychological and physical. His works recast astrological concepts in psychological terms, and reject what he perceives as the fatalism and negativity of old-fashioned astrology. His books have now been translated into 20 languages. Regarding his written works, the Library Journal stated: "The simplicity and clarity of his treatment of complex ideas is remarkable; it makes accessible even to the beginner a wealth of understanding....giving meaningful psychological grounding to astrological interpretation."[citation needed] Arroyo has been guest speaker at events in the North America and Europe, and has taught astrology courses in the United States. He has been awarded the British Astrological Association Astrology Prize, the Fraternity of Canadian Astrologers' International Sun Award, and the United Astrology Congress's Regulus Award. He has an honors degree in literature from the University of California and a Masters Degree in Psychology. Previous occupations include marriage counseling, and the practice of a homeopathy and polarity therapy.

Great Book, Great Author, One Small Complaint

This book, like all of Arroyo's astrology books, is incredibly insightful and should be read by every astrologer (though it's probably best to tackle at the intermediate level rather than as a beginner). I don't share the author's take on every topic, but he is one of my favorite astrologers to read and I always benefit from his writing. He has made me a better astrologer in so many ways. My only real complaint is that Arroyo often skips a lot of information, saying the content has already been adequately covered by other authors, and including footnotes with their books and pamphlets. Since the book was first published in the 70's, a lot of those books/pamphlets are out of print and tough to find. This can leave some pretty big holes that are hard to fill more than 30 years later. This book takes a positive, helpful view of the topic of karma as it can be understood through astrology. There is a particular focus on the outer planets, including a description of their aspects and transits. In each section, Arroyo moves from the general concepts to a more specific cook-book listing of the planets. He discusses karmic relationships through analyzing synastry and progressions, and includes a special chapter on the Ascendant and Midheaven axes. Arroyo refers to Edgar Cayce's view of reincarnation and planetary influences on a particular incarnation. This book provides an exceptionally accessible viewpoint, in the sense that it approaches karma as patterns to be recognized through the astrological counseling process, rather than encouraging specious speculation about specific past lives. A book recommended for astrologers who seek to include an evolutionary spiritual element in their style of interpretation without sounding like Madame Lazonga.

About the Author
Born in the state of Maine, Mr. Clark has lived for the past thirty years in central Massachusetts, and has been married to his wife Mondi for nearly twenty of those years. After over twenty years in the foodservice industry, Mr. Clark decided creating and selling his own specialty food products would be an interesting challenge, so that's how most of the first decade of the new century was spent. Having seen that the success rate was very poor for individuals like himself doing this, he decided to create an instructional volume with all the information that didn't seem to be available anywhere. Great Insight!

Wow... Easy to read, simply explained and well thought out advice for those of you who ever thought about marketing Grandma's Apple Sauce or what have you! What is nice about this author is not only his easy to comprehend writing skills but the fact that he's "Been there - Done that" and willing to share his experience. Having already toyed with the idea of marketing my product myself, I was familiar with some of the stuff he mentions. But just he started out, I was flying blind and had very little experience in this field, so I decided to buy his book and glad I did! He leaves very little, if any stone at all unturned, making you look at virtually every aspect of marketing your product so that you are not only much more aware on the internal workings of the business machine that you will eventually have to face, but you will also know how and where to turn a profit. This book was the best $30 I ever spent. In it, he also provides several links to websites to companies and organizations that you would probably never come across starting out from scratch. This alone pays for the books in not only time saved but guiding you down the right path...

I hove information that I have gathered from people who are involved in the food packing industry locally.
The information in this book confirms and details what I have already learned.
This is a ruff business to make a buck in.

I also have previous experience in a small business of my own that was similar to the system of middle men
that you have to deal with if you are going to make a profit.

If you are thinking of getting into marketing your own food products, buy this book.
It was one of the best investments I ever made.

Solid Advice

The book was very informative on how to make a profit in the Specialty Food industry, however, the Author seemed to be a bit bitter in the writings. This is the only book I could find that really showed the pitfalls of producing your own product. It appears that the distributors and retailers make all the money. Well worth the time to read.

Hot Gay Political Drama

The son of the president and a very politically driven wife, Trevor Moga was raised in a very political environment. He made sure to have a career far from his parents and the political world. Ford Hollingsworth is an elected congressman from a huge political dynasty. He was bred to have a Hollingsworth in the White House as a future president and family is everything to him. Trevor and Ford meet and a great friendship develops. Can the son of a president and a son of a very powerful senator actually build their own family or are their differences too much for even them?

Ford the son of a senator is gay but very much in the closet due to his father being a high respected republican and himself being the newly elected congressman. Ford knows that he can't live a life that he wants so he has come to the terms with it. Then one night he meets this hot guy in a bar and goes home with him and then to the horror he realizes its the son of the United States President and then he see's his life flashing in front of him. Trevor reassures him that's he's safe . How does the son of the Democrat President and the son of the Republican Senator think this will work out? Well in total secret and very quietly but that's not always possible.

I loved the blurb of CC's latest novel so much that I was instantly hooked. She has created such complex and high intriguing characters such as Trevor and Ford. I enjoyed his mother even though she was so politically driven and very protective of the presidential family but she still managed to show some love for her son. There is a lot of hot gay sex that adds to the story so brilliantly. Not being an american gave me a glimpse into the USA political machine and CC had a great mixture of politics, love, sex and drama. I give a lot of credit to the author by creating a story of two very strong-willed and powerful political families, one Democrat and one Republican and they both turned out to be the MC of the story. She delves into a Democrat/Republican gay love story and shows the most realistic view of this complicated relationship.

CC's writing is more brilliant than ever before and I love how she took a chance on something quite different from what she normally writes about and it was a huge success. The author takes you on a beautiful ride through the political world and what it means to be together against all odds and the huge sacrifice for pure love. I completely loved this story and I couldn't recommend it enough! Everyone needs to read Strange Bedfellows by Cardeno C!!!

Strange Bedfellows makes for wonderful love story

I am a huge fan of Cardeno C so I eagerly look forward to each new book and I am never disappointed with the stories CC writes. I know this book my not be everyone's cup of tea and may even seem unrealistic considering it feature a religious, ultra conservative Republican who is still deeply hidden in the closet and the wealthy son of liberal Democratic parents he lives out loud & proud but in truth I think it is wonderful to see that while people can be polar opposite when you love someone you are willing to find a way to see each others hearts and you don't ask the other person to change who they are -you work to find common ground so that love has a place to grow. This story starts off hot and heavy and along the way a friendship is born that develops into a deep love that allows both parties a chance to understand where the other one is coming from and allows them to move outside of the mold they have been cast into. In life we may often be born into an ideal set by our parents and family and only as we open our minds to other ideas do we grow into our individual selves, that is what this story is truly about......Ford loves his family and faith but was confused about how his sexuality fit into that mold. When he meets Trevor he comes face to face with those feelings and has to struggle to find his own path that gives him the love he needs as well as the job he wants because he doesn't want to lose everything he has work so hard for, and Trevor finds the one person who makes him willing to step outside of his comfort zone. Trevor is the most amazingly strong and supportive person that all of us dream of having in our lives. I can honestly say I love this book and it has earned a place as one of my top 3 favorites books.

He too has had nothing but casual hook ups and didn't think he would ever have true love. When they meet the chemistry is there

Awwwwww... that about sums this book up! This was my first book by this author and won't be my last.

The story is based around the two main characters Ford Hollingsworth an up and coming in the political world who lives to fulfill his and his dads dream of becoming a state senator and then onto Presidential candidate. Then we have Trevor Moga only son of the current President and self made business man.

The story jumps right in to them meeting. Ford is very much in the closet when it comes to his sexuality but as he's getting older he is finding it increasingly difficult to hide who he is. He comes from a strict religious background and has spent most of his life just having the occasional hook up with men he picks up in a bar. He uses fake names in the hope they won't recognize who he is. On this occasion he meets Trevor in the bar and doesn't himself recognize who he is. Trevor is openly gay and has been for most of his life and is fully supported by his parents. He too has had nothing but casual hook ups and didn't think he would ever have true love. When they meet the chemistry is there instantly and starts off a beautiful love affair. The love scenes are pretty hot and passionate but not overly graphic and i feel this book would be a really good start for a first time M/M reader.

The story follows the struggle Ford has between wanting his career to bloom but knowing admitting who he is could seriously damage that and wanting to find love and family he has always wanted. It also follows Trevor's realization that although he didn't have a traditional upbringing he still had an incredibly close family unit.

I've got to say i fell in love with both of the main characters there was none of the usual fighting and trying to run away they recognize from the start that there is something special between them and i loved that! It really is a beautiful love story and i was very happy with the ending. I will say too that this has encouraged me to check out this authors other books i enjoyed it that much.

The only downside of this book i would say is the political aspect but that is probably just a personal thing as this doesn't really interest me and i found there was quite a bit of that jargon in it. Other than that i loved it and would absolutely recommend it to anyone.
