Peter Mortola, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Counseling and School Psychology at Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon, where he focuses on developmentally appropriate methods of counseling children and adolescents.� He is the author of BAM! Boys Advocacy and Mentoring (Routledge, 2008).

Virtual Experience of an Oaklander training

Excellent demonstration of Gestalt play therapy the Oaklander way. Mortola gives one the experience of being in a Violet Oaklander training. The next best thing to actually being there. I highly recommend, along with Oaklander's two seminal works, "Windows to Our Children," and "Hidden Treasure," for any practitioner interested in using the Gestalt approach to play therapy.
